We used an NCR machine in the theatrical poster business in 1973 or thereabouts. It was a monster. Seems like they were punchcards we would slip one in the carriage area and we had a bin with cards, and there were larger account cards and individual cards. I thought this was the NCR 2000 but couldn't find any reference to it. Just reminiscing , wondered if anyone knew. Now I work on laptop at home in virtual world and curious if Gates was out developing that year to improve on that old beast we used to think simplified our business, and it did!
