Base 40 conversion

Hello.

I was working on NCR Century 8200 in France in the 70's.

At this time, the names of the files in the directory disc under Imos II or III was coded on four bytes in Base 40 I think.
I don't remember the method to convert it in Alphanumeric characters.

If someone could help me, It will be awsome.

Post a hex dump of the directory entries.

Base 32 i have heard of but not base 40
